FODMAP Scanner ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's functionality:

• Scan History: Barcodes you scan and their FODMAP analysis results are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. We do not upload your scan history to any server.
• Subscription Status: Your premium subscription status is stored securely in your device's Keychain. We do not have access to your payment information — all purchases are processed by Apple.
• Preferences: Settings such as Strict Mode are stored locally in your device's UserDefaults.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personal identifying information (name, email, address).
• We do not collect health or medical data.
• We do not track your location.
• We do not use advertising SDKs or analytics trackers.
• We do not require you to create an account.

3. Third-Party Services

Open Food Facts API: When you scan a barcode, we send the barcode number to the Open Food Facts API (openfoodfacts.org) to retrieve product information. Open Food Facts is an open-source, non-profit database. Please review their privacy policy.

Apple In-App Purchases: Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information.

RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

4. Camera Access

We request camera access solely to scan food product barcodes. Camera images are processed entirely on your device and are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

5. Data Security

All data is stored locally on your device. Your premium status is secured using iOS Keychain. We do not operate servers that store your personal data.

6. Children's Privacy

This app is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through an app update.
